About Questing Live
I made Questing Live as an alternative to fiction.live — a place to write and read quests, stories that grow one update at a time with readers deciding where they go.
What you can do here
- Polls with single or multiple choice, reader write-ins, and an optional closing time.
- Suggestion boxes for open questions where readers propose directions instead of voting.
- Dice with modifiers and success targets, rolled on the server so nobody can fudge the result.
- Battlefields: grid maps of a cave, a church, a city street, or one you draw yourself, with your heroes and enemies placed on them.
- Live sessions: go live or schedule one, and followers are notified so they can vote while you write.
- Chapters, rich text, spoilers, and cover images so long quests stay readable.
- Per-story moderation: bans, comment limits, and a choice of whether unregistered readers can take part.
You can read every published story without an account, and vote in most polls too. Sign up to follow stories and authors, comment, and get notified when a story you follow goes live. If you write, your story stays private until you publish it.
Tell me what you think
The feedback page comes straight to me. Bug reports, feature ideas, and “this is confusing” are all welcome.
